Whether it's your jazz or their blues, Phoenix Rising presents the opportunity for potential attendees to meet others and discuss, debate or simply jive together. To help you in this process, Phoenix Rising has arranged several casual online methods for attendees to use in their own time. We hope you'll feel welcome, and that one or more of these options fits your inner beat.
Please note that using a service provided by someone other than Phoenix Rising, including our message boards, YahooGroups, and LiveJournal, requires agreeing to the Terms of Use for that service.
Meet & Connect Forum
Phoenix Rising's message boards contain a Meet & Connect forum solely for attendees to use to chat about whatever they wish related to Harry Potter and the upcoming conference. If you have questions or concerns, you might prefer the Questions forum, but for your own topics, polls and discussions, please use our Meet & Connect boards as frequently as you wish.
Phoenix Rising Chat YahooGroup
If you prefer a mailing list format, the off-topic YahooGroup for Phoenix Rising, called Phoenix Rising Chat, is located here. Attendees who choose this option will receive e-mails from other potential attendees. Phoenix Rising has also created an official, moderated YahooGroup, Phoenix Rising Help, for questions and concerns.
Phoenix Rising Chat LiveJournal
If you have a LiveJournal a type of online blog you may wish to become a member of Phoenix Rising Chat, where LiveJournal members and guests alike may discuss anything relevant. For official LiveJournal information on Phoenix Rising, please watch our community From Ash and Flame, the official newsletter of Phoenix Rising.
Volunteer
Another way to meet people before the event is through volunteering. Phoenix Rising depends on volunteers to make the conference run smoothly and is always grateful for their help and it's a great way to make new friends. Please visit our volunteers page for more information.
