Rendezvous: Photo Scavenger Hunt

This is to have a final meeting of those participating in the Photo Scavenger Hunt at Phoenix Rising. You can either have your points tallied up there, or online after the conference. Before the convention, those who RSVP will be emailed a list of photos to take while at Phoenix Rising (or they can see me in the common room on Thursday - more info on the community) and they will embark on a weekend long photo hunt. There will be points assigned for certain photos taken, and prizes will be given based on the points. You need to have some kind of camera to participate! If you want to get a prize you need to either go to the rendezvous or have your pictures on the community. Those who attend the rendezvous will get to compare pictures and have a final laugh before the definite end of the conference. It'll be a great way to share memories while making them at the same time.

Rendezvous: Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Work Day

Come help rebuild New Orleans before the action starts at Phoenix Rising! We will be assisting Habitat for Humanity in building new houses for the people of the Ninth Ward District. Please come prepared to do construction and renovation-type work, though accommodations will be made for those with limitations. You must commit to the whole day, no in and outs; we are going there and back as one group. The worksite will be a 10-20 minute car ride. Those who will have vehicles with them, please help those without cars by letting them carpool. Rental car discounts can be arranged through Habitat for Humanity for those willing to rent a larger car or van for this purpose. Bring your own water (at least a gallon, it's better to have too much) and some snacks or a sack lunch.

Also please wear closed-toe shoes and, while it is definitely encouraged that you wear your House colors or something "wizardy", large hats, ties, scarves and robes should be left at the hotel for safety reasons. Please RSVP to the email above and state whether or not you can drive or if you need a ride.
