Online registration for Phoenix Rising, including purchase of tickets and registration transfers, is now closed. If you’re interested in attending Phoenix Rising or one of our ticketed events, you may wish to purchase a registration or a ticket at the door. Registrations and tickets will go on sale at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 17, 2007, on the fifth floor of the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
Please note that you may no longer sign up to play in the Borders Riverside Quidditch Classic or participate in Dueling; those programs required that you sign up during online registration.
The full description of what a registration for Phoenix Rising includes is below. We will also have a very limited number of tickets for our keynote presentations, a moderate number of tickets for Storyville, and a squashy purple sleeping bag or two available in New Orleans on a first-come, first-served basis.

Types of Registration and Prices
The following types of registration are available at the door to Phoenix Rising. Registrations will be available starting at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 17, 2007, on the fifth floor of the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel. Please note carefully the items that are included with each.
- Full Registration: A full registration for Phoenix Rising, from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2007 to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2007, includes the following:
- Admission to all Academic and Exploratory Programming of Phoenix Rising;
- Admission to all Events and Lagniappe of Phoenix Rising;
- Two full meals: the Overture Dinner, including The Leaky Cauldron's live PotterCast, and the Coda Breakfast;
- The opportunity to purchase tickets for the Special Events and Keynote Presentations; and
- A t-shirt available only to conference attendees.
February 28, 2006 until March 28, 2006: $115 March 29, 2006 through August 31, 2006: $140 September 1, 2006 through February 19, 2007: $160 February 20, 2007 through April 10, 2007: $180 At the door: $200 - Student Registration: Phoenix Rising recognizes that, while most college or graduate students are finished with the school year by the third week of May, most high school students are not. To accommodate high school students who may not be able to miss class, Phoenix Rising has created a student registration. To be eligible for a student registration, the registrant must be a high school student or the international equivalent as of May 17, 2007, or the chaperone of a qualified student. Student registrations are valid beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 20. Neither college nor graduate students are eligible for student registrations. A student registration includes the following:
- Admission to all Academic and Exploratory Programming of Phoenix Rising that takes place during the student registration period;
- Admission to all Events and Lagniappe of Phoenix Rising that take place during the student registration period;
- The opportunity to purchase tickets for the Special Events and Keynote Presentations; and
- A t-shirt available only to conference attendees.

- Admission to all Academic and Exploratory Programming of Phoenix Rising that takes place during that day;
- Admission to all Events and Lagniappe of Phoenix Rising that take place during that day;
- The opportunity to purchase tickets for the Keynote Presentations and Special Events that occur during that day; and
- A t-shirt available only to conference attendees, subject to availability.

Special Event and Keynote Presentation Tickets
Storyville, playing in the Borders Riverside Quidditch Classic, and the Keynote Presentations each require a ticket separate from a conference registration. While registration for the Borders Riverside Quidditch Classic is now closed, anyone may purchase one or more tickets to Storyville and our Keynote Presentations, regardless of conference registration status. A limited number of tickets to these events will be available in New Orleans on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 12:00 noon on May 17, 2007, on the fifth floor of the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
Additionally, Phoenix Rising is pleased to announce that we are able to make tickets to our Masquerade Ball available to non-attendees. (All attendees will receive a Masquerade Ball wristband in their registration packets; the Ball is included with Full, Student and Sunday registrations.) The price of each Masquerade Ball ticket is $10, and tickets will be on sale starting at 12:00 noon on May 17, 2007, on the fifth floor of the Sheraton New Orleans.
Anyone using a ticket must be at least 14 years old as of May 17, 2007.

All registrations and tickets must be paid for by April 17, 2007. All registrations and tickets for which we have not received payment by April 17, 2007, will be deleted from our system. Limited registrations, keynote presentation and special event tickets will be available at the door; please note that only a few keynote presentation tickets will be available on site and that all Borders Riverside Quidditch Classic players must register online to allow for jersey printing.
All registrations and event tickets are completely non-refundable. Registrations and tickets may, however, be transferred.

Transferring Your Registration or Tickets
Attendees and ticket holders are welcome to transfer registrations and tickets to others. Registrations and tickets may be transferred separately or together. Please feel free to use our message boards in your attempt to find a buyer. Once you have a buyer, please contact us at registration
@thephoenixrises.org. Phoenix Rising will not participate in, or be responsible for, the transfer process.
Because our online system is already closed, if you wish to transfer your registration, you must sign and notarize the form below, and mail it to your transferee. Then the transferee must present this completed form, along with a photo ID, at the Phoenix Rising registration desk. The Phoenix Rising staff will then release the transferor’s registration packet to the transferee, which will allow the transferee to attend the conference instead of the transferor.

Phoenix Rising's programming, events and lagniappe are intended primarily for adults. Anyone who is at least 18 years old as of May 17, 2007, may register or purchase a ticket. Anyone who is 14-17 years old as of May 17, 2007, may register or purchase a ticket, provided that they are accompanied by an adult: either a parent or a legal guardian, or a chaperone who is at least 21 years old as of May 17, 2007. Accompanying parents, legal guardians and chaperones must register for Phoenix Rising, and are eligible for the student rate if the minor they are accompanying has a student registration. Registrations and ticket purchases for minors will require entering the booking code of the accompanying adult, so adults should register first. Anyone attending any Phoenix Rising event, including separately ticketed events, must be at least 14 years old as of May 17, 2007.
Anyone under 18 who is attending Phoenix Rising with a chaperone must have a parental permission slip on file with us. These permission slips may be mailed to us, or presented at the check-in desk on site. The permission slips do require notarization. Minors attending with parents or legal guardians do not need a permission slip.
