Her current population is as disparate as any in the United States, and gives rise to her incredible daily movement of life. We encourage you to explore her, from the Vieux Carré to the bayous, from the Marginy to the Garden District. Revel in her clubs to the beat of local musicians or take a cemetery tour and experience her past. Visit Faulkner House Books, on Pirate's Alley, where Faulkner once lived and wrote, or visit pirate Jean Lafitte's Blacksmith's Shop, the oldest continuously operating bar in the United States. Grab some pizza and a daiquiri at a walk-up window, and wander your way through the French Quarter to Café du Monde for beignets, with the Mississippi River on one side and majestic Jackson Square on the other.
